Hi! My name is Genesis Castillo. I am a documentary family photographer based in Vancouver. 

As a sentimental type and a sucker for personalized and meaningful keepsakes, I love looking back at old photographs and moments. I love the feeling of reminiscing and remembering those times. There is beauty in recalling the past because I believe that it gives us a greater appreciation of our life’s journey. 

My work as a public health nurse, my Catholic faith, and my care for the environment and all of God’s creations guide me to see and appreciate real life as it is. With no prompts, direction and manipulation, I use a documentary approach to photography. This allows your story to unravel naturally and allows me to tell your stories authentically. I believe that your family, your milestones, and the moments between are all blessings that should be celebrated. I am passionate about transforming your moments into pieces of art to be remembered forever. It would be an honour and privilege for me to tell your amazing story!
